2015 potato production up, according to NASS

USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) 2015 crop production report forecast an increase of 4.9 million cwt. in U.S. fall potato production, compared to the 2014 total of 403.7 million cwt. NASS predicts the 2015 fall production total to be 408.6 million cwt.

The report indicates a slight yield decline, from 434 cwt. per acre in 2014 to 432 cwt. per acre in 2015.
