USPB increases FY2015 international marketing funds

In response to lost U.S. potato exports due to the west coast port slowdowns, the U.S. Potato Board (USPB) allocated $300,000 in reserve funds to the international marketing budget.             The international marketing committee was also directed to use $50,000 in board funds and $150,000 in Market Access Program funds in the marketing campaign to regain market share lost during the port slowdowns.             The motion to increase the funds was passed by board members…  » Read more

Hoverson elected 2015-2016 USPB chairman

Carl Hoverson, of Larimore, North Dakota, was elected the 2015-2016 U.S. Potato Board (USPB) chairman on March 12, 2015, at the USPB annual meeting in Colorado Springs, Colorado. PILI elects Cheff 2016 grower leader

The Potato Industry Leadership Institute (PILI) class of 2015 elected Bridget Cheff of Ronan, Montana its 2016 grower leader. Krabill joins USPB

Ryan Krabill has joined the U.S. Potato Board (USPB) as the director of research and analysis. Krabill will begin his job on April 1, 2015. Vietnam market opens to U.S. potatoes

The United States Potato Board (USPB) recently announced that the first commercial shipment of United States table-stock potatoes arrived in Vietnam.
