Oct 29, 2014UPGA sponsors Potato Business Summit
During the past three years the Potato Business Summit, sponsored by United Potato Growers of America (UPGA), has become one of the cornerstones of the POTATO EXPO.
The upcoming Potato Business Summit on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, promises to jump start the 2015 POTATO EXPO with an overview of domestic and global commodity markets.
It is the highest attended breakout session and is probably the most concise business summary of world and domestic potato economics that all growers, shippers and potato processors need to be able to understand how to compete in the market today,” said Jerry Wright, UPGA CEO.
This year’s summit will focus on world and domestic commodities, including potatoes, Wright said.
“Growers, shippers and producers need to understand the global market for an accurate outlook of domestic markets,” he said
The summit will feature the following speakers:
- Sterling Liddell, of Rabobank
- Romain Cools, of Belgapom
- Greg Schlaver, of Lamb Weston
- Don Ladhoff, of the U.S. Potato Board
- Jerry Wright, UPGA
