MFFPA scholarships available

The Michigan Frozen Food Packers Association (MFFPA) will present up to three scholarships to winning applicants on Wednesday, June 22. Applicant requirements include having successfully completed freshman year at an accredited community/state college or university and be in the top 50 percent of class scholastically. There is preference given to students who have a relationship with a MFFPA member and priority will be given to those with food science majors, but it is not a requirement. CHS Foundation now accepting scholarship applications

The CHS Foundation, the major giving entity of CHS Inc., a farmer-owned cooperative, is now accepting applications for scholarships. The CHS Foundation will award more than 300 scholarships in 2016. One hundred $1,000 scholarships will be made to high school students who choose to pursue agricultural-related degrees or STEM-related (science, technology, engineering, math) fields of study with an interest in agriculture or energy industry careers. Syngenta 2015 agricultural scholarship open for applications

The second annual Syngenta agricultural scholarship program is open for applications from undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in agricultural studies. This year’s scholarship essay topic focuses on the Good Growth Plan launched by Syngenta in 2013. Applicants must be enrolled as of spring 2015 in an accredited agriculture program at a U.S. land grant university. Syngenta will award a total of $20,000 in scholarships. Syngenta announces new scholarships

Syngenta is introducing the new national Syngenta Agricultural Scholarship in 2014. The scholarship will replace Syngenta’s Potato Scholarship as well as scholarships for sugar beet and almond and is available to students in all crop markets. The scholarship will be available to undergraduate students enrolled as of spring 2014 in an accredited agriculture program at a land grant university.
