OPC presents grower awards

The Oregon Potato Commission (OPC) presented the 2013 Potatoes Goodness Unearthed awards at the Washington/Oregon Potato Conference. Presenting awards in four categories for best red variety, best yellow variety, best russet variety and best specialty variety was chef Leif Benson, a member of the OPC. Klamath Basin growers create new endowment

Klamath Basin potato growers George Rajnus, Dan Chin and Lon Baley, with Bill Brewer, president and CEO of the Oregon Potato Commission (OPC), presented a check for $100,000 to Dan Arp, Ph.D., Oregon State University (OSU) dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences, and Russell Karow, Ph.D., department head of Crop and Soil Science.
