      <description>Northern Plains Nitrogen plans to build and operate a $1.5 billion nitrogen fertilizer facility near Grand Forks, N.D. The facility will include a 2,200&#45;ton per day ammonia plant along with urea and urea&#45;ammonium&#45;nitrate production facilities. The plant is expected to be completed and provide fertilizer in time for the 2017 growing season. When operational the plant will provide full&#45;time employment to approximately 135 people. &amp;nbsp;</description>

      <title>Transform WG receives EPA registration</title>

      <description>Dow AgroSciences has received EPA registration for Transform WG insecticide. Sulfoxaflor, Transform&amp;rsquo;s active ingredient, controls sap&#45;feeding insects, such as potato psyllid, aphids and leafhoppers. It controls insects at a low use rate while not harming most beneficial insects and not flaring aphids or mites. Transform is the only insecticide in the Insecticide Resistance Action Committee&amp;rsquo;s Group 4C classification. The REI for Transform is 24 hours and the PHI for potatoes is seven days. Mode of application is by air, ground or chemigation. &amp;nbsp;</description>

      <title>AGCO begins expansion</title>

      <description>AGCO has begun a $42 million expansion at its Jackson, Minn., manufacturing center. The three&#45;year project is broken down into seven phases. The first phase, scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2013 includes a 30,000&#45;square&#45;foot expansion of the component manufacturing area, increasing capacity by 20 percent. Once completed, the expansion will increase production capacity by 25 percent for both the tractor and sprayer assembly lines. An additional 75 jobs will be created, bringing total employees to more than 1,200.</description>

      <description>Applications for the Natural Resources Conservation Service&amp;rsquo;s (NRCS) Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) are due May 31. The CSP will provide $175 million in funding for up to 12.6 million additional acres of enrollment this year. CSP is a voluntary program that allows producers to conserve natural resources while maintaining or increasing productivity of their operations. Farmers, ranchers and forestland owners interested in CSP must submit applications to their local NRCS office to be considered for funding this year.       <description>The USDA&amp;rsquo;s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) announced the start of a State National Harmonization Program for seed potatoes. The program is a collaborative effort between APHIS, the National Potato Council (NPC), the U.S. Potato Board (USPB), the National Plant Board and state seed certification agencies. Discussions leading to the new program were initiated at a meeting in 2002. Currently, 12 states participate in the program, representing 98.5 percent of all U.S. seed potato acreage.       <description>Associated&amp;nbsp; Wholesale Grocers (AWG) has filed a lawsuit alleging antitrust action among members of United Potato Growers of America (UPGA) and United Potato Growers of Idaho (UPGI). On April 17, AWG filed the suit in the U.S. District Court in Kansas City. In the complaint AWG alleges that the defendants, UPGA and UPGI, &amp;ldquo;conspired to use pre&#45;harvest and post&#45;harvest methods to control and reduce the supply of potatoes in order to raise and stabilize the prices at which potatoes were sold in the United States.&amp;rdquo; Jerry Wright, UPGA president and CEO,&amp;nbsp; released this email statement,&#0133;</description>
