Matrix to feature Triton bagging machine at United

Matrix Packaging Machinery, powered by Pro Mach, will showcase at United Fresh, May 14-16 in San Diego, at booth 1238.

The Triton is a vertical form-fill-seal machine optimized for the fresh produce packaging industry. The Triton automated bagging machine, which comes in two models, can help fresh produce packers of all sizes and individual needs lower labor costs, decrease waste, and improve overall efficiency and throughput, according to the company.

The Triton is rated at cycle speeds up to 100 bags per minute. Bag sizes range from a minimum of 2 inches wide by 3 inches long to 18 inches wide by 23 inches long. This competitively priced vertical-form-fill seal machine features heavy-duty wash-down construction for a long service life. The Triton’s frame, for example, is made with 4 by 4 inch welded stainless steel.

This unit comes standard with the Matrix Smart Jaw ST sealing system, automatic web edge guide film tracking, tool free film roll and forming tube changeover, nationally available Allen-Bradley control components, and more. Available options include a load shelf for heavier bags and a gas flushing system for modified atmosphere packaging (MAP).
